5-2-17: Arrived Sunday night, leaving Tuesday morning. Big storm came through Monday night and blew a tree down across the driveway. It also knocked the power out and as of this morning the phone is out as well. This is nearly my first time here in 21.5 years with no dogs. Sad.

5-28-17: Saw three bears on my jog yesterday. One mama that was huge and two cubs. Scary, but no one hurt.
Jason

Had a great time with friends and their 2 children. Kids played together. We played lots of Spades. best time ever and our 11th anniversary.

6-27-17: Here for my third annual trip with NYC friends. Absolutely beautiful weather & a great time as always. Here with Liz, Orion, Josie, Luke, & Tilli
Charlie (age 28)

6/27/17: 3rd Annual trip! Thank you so much for having us! Went for a run (hoped to see Jason’s bears, but no luck!) did lots of swimming, boating, & fishing. Really enjoyed all my tranquil mornings reading at the dock.
Love Liz

6/27/17: First time here was fantastic! Caught my first fish, got some good runs in, had a bit of beginner’s luck in Kubb. Tilli and I can’t wait to visit again!
Luke (and Tilli!)

7/4/17: Ken & Joanne arrived on the 4th of July. Invited to lovely dinner by Mary & co. next door.

9-15-July: Week in Woods Hole with Nina & family. Very special place. Folk singing, folk dancing, “My Fair Lady”, science school, sailing for Naima & Isaiah.

7/29/17: Paul Casey & Julia departing after a great week. Julia’s 3rd visit. Paul got in 4 bike rides, including a group ride w/the Eagles Mere Wheelmen. Casey visited Bucknell. She loves it. Julia visited the Sayre hospital in the middle of the night. Appendicitis scare that, fortunately, turned out not to be, but it took a CAT scan to confirm. Lots pf great meals.

Bob Ann & Lucy joined us Friday night for ribs, slaw, zucchini aú gratin & braised cauliflower. The girls visited the big spruce, kayaked, fished (4 sunfish) and did some serious hanging out. Casey is showing her Scrabble chops – 80 points with one Z! And Julia was about to trounce us all in Catan when Casey came from nowhere and won the game. Now that Casey has her learner’s permit (license expected in September) she can help with the driving – she logged 8 hours across Indiana & Ohio on the way out. PA does not honor other state’s permits so Paul had to do some of the driving too.

8-14-17: I was here for a week and a half, first summer visit without dogs in 21+ years. Did a few chores, but mostly relaxed. Driving the Mini back to Vermont and my summer ziplining job today.
Adam

8-15-17: I was here for 2 weeks and I went fishing and I did flips on the trampoline. Giving it to Isaiah now.
NAIMA

Here for 2 weeks — caught 27 newts (and too many frogs to count), kayaked and walked a bit, jumped on the trampoline at Naima’s insistence, and worked on my constructed language a lot! (a lot!) Built fairy houses on the stumps behind the tree house with Naima and Mommy… overall a mostly quiet and very wet summer!

8-15-17: Nina here a few days after her wonderful trip to Japan. Many tales to tell!

8-20-17: Steven stayed here while Abby and I went to Massachusetts so my best friend from high school (David Emanuel) removed my four wisdom teeth. He’s a top oral surgeon now. I’m recovering well – life’s good.
Jason

8-31-17: We were here in the year of the eclipse – Aug. 21. Some large trees were cut down. A huge amount of wood chips were dumped on Rt. 495 – so we have lots of path makings! Beautiful cool weather for a week. Caroline experienced the enormous flooding of “Harvey” in Houston, TX. Taking two chrysalis’s with us!
Joanne & Ken

9/3/17: Had wonderful time with close friends. The kid had great time w/ bouncing & paddle boat. Great food & company.

9-3-17: Yesterday, swang on the swing, with Steven making up silly songs. Life doesn’t get much better than that. I’m richly blessed. Great weekend with friends and family.
Jason

10-20-17: Stayed for a week with a trip down to VA/PHL in the middle. House all closed up.
