5/18/23: Arrived the night of the 16th with Brandon, Isaac, and Jasmine. (Mika) Got lost trying to walk around the lake, somehow. Canoed and pet Bulo and Koey. The trick to lying on the spending time on the dock in the cold morning is to lie down because then the wind passes over you. We were so happy here!
5/18/23: Arrived on 5/15 midday with Randy, Annabelle, Lara, and Justin. Art on the dock, kayaking, unbountiful fishing, a trip to the norfolk pine (Ted), frisbee, fires, and Terra Mystica (a new board game). Clear skies all three nights made excellent conditions for star gazing. A stop by the General Store for s’mores materials and lots of attention for Bulo and Koey. A fabulous stay. – Merrick
Arrived on the 16th with Brandon, Mika, and Isaac. Had 2 campfires, hiked (and got lost haha), canoed, and swung on various swings. It was also perfect weather for stargazing! Thanks for having us in Shunk ❤︎ –Jasmine
Arrived with Randy, Annabelle, Lara and Merrick on the 15. Made out, kayaked, canoed, saw Ted, played frisbee, ate way too much and did anything but work. Shunk is an amazing place to be and I experienced many things. Glad I came – Justin

5-25-23: Heading home after 2+ weeks here. Did a bunch of organizing and cleaning, but not much else. Lost Koey for a couple hours, but she came back! Summers without the second generation to keep up with things will be different.
Adam, Bulo, Koey!

7-22-23: I arrived from Providence on Friday, after getting back at the end of June from 6 months in Vienna on a Fulbright fellowship. Sad to be here for Mommy’s graveside service with Mr. Eby, but lovely to spend a few days here with many Fords and Baumunks. Now off to visit Pop at Foulkeways. Nina
7-25-23: Many people here — much socializing. I installed Mommy’s bench and Paul and i cleared the view in front of it. Games, too much food, lots of hikes with the dogs. My canoe got blown off the dock and i had to retrieve it. Back to VT — leaving the camper here.

7-25-23: Lots of Great Fun at the lake! A good send off to Grandma, & a beautiful bench in her honor at Meditation Point. Paul, Storm, & I had lots of fun with bonfires & boating & board games oh my! I got some experience on the tractor & fixed up the firepit with stones & stumps I cut & collected myself. (Enough alliteration!) Paul & I also took out 3 honeysuckle bushes. All in all, a Great Exhausting Week!

7/29/23: Charlie + Liz + Caroline
Mom and Liz came up 7/21 for Gramma’s burial service. Charlie arrived late 7/24 from Finland (a 25 hour journey from Tampere to Helsinki to Amsterdam to New York to Shunk!) It was a lovely week of relaxation, a trip to the Troy Fair, cooking, and swimming.
8.12.23: Here for about a week after returning from Taiwan and before heading back to school. Very quiet — no one else around, and a lot of rain. Nina and Isaiah for three days, then just Isaiah for another three, and now off in a big U-Haul towing a car with Mark as he moves to Chicago! Kayaked a bit, hiked a bit (and explored questionable trails). Organized all of the spices. beautiful as always — I hope to be back soon!
— Isaiah
